JOB TITLE:
VICE PRESIDENT, CREATIVE SERVICES -- LIVE EVENTS DIVISION

COMPANY/POSITION:

The hunt is on for a Vice President to direct the operation and execution of the Creative Department staff for this growing regional business unit within a premier event marketing agency. The agency -- world-renowned for its innovative blending of art and science to create the most exciting, compelling face-to-face marketing experiences for clients -- seeks an accomplished visionary with the knowledge and vision to lead conceptual development of innovative experiential events, exhibits and other advanced formats of brand marketing. Wanted: a powerfully passionate and proven dynamo with -- as management phrases it -- "an innate sense of tying creative environments with high-impact experiences -- a person able to both architecturally and conceptually create fresh solutions to brand marketing challenges." The VP will oversee development of all Creative Dept. processes, methodologies, deliverables and budgets.

KEY REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's degree required, with higher-level degree preferred. Minimum 10 to 12 years' experience in the live events/hospitality industry in increasingly responsible roles... including 8-10 years' creative and strategic execution and at least 5 years' team management experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

These include:

--Spearheading the development of innovative experiential events, exhibits and other advanced formats of brand marketing;

-- Overseeing development of all Creative Dept. processes, methodologies, deliverables and budgets;

-- Participating in regular client reviews and client meetings, and attending important client shows as needed; meeting with clients to foster stronger relationships and ensure client satisfaction;

-- Developing new ideas to drive revenue growth within assigned accounts;

-- Attending industry events and maintaining active memberships in professional associations such as IAEE, PCMA, HCEA, ESCA and related organizations mainly to maximize exposure for the company and to network and build relationships with targeted prospects and existing clients;

-- Maintaining a working knowledge of general and specific competitor strategies/developments as well as trends within the trade show/events industry;

-- Providing direct supervision of account teams;

-- Recruiting, staffing and coaching account teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree required, with higher-level degree preferred. At least 10-12 years' experience in roles of increasingly progressive responsibility, including at least 8-10 years' creative experience and at least 5 years' management experience in the events/exhibits industry, preferably within a $15-million-plus division.

Other key requirements:

-- Must possess deep knowledge and far-ranging vision to lead the development of innovative experiential events, exhibits and other advanced formats of brand marketing;

-- Strong experience and presence in the proposal development and presentation stages -- the ability to create inventive solutions and to articulate these to clients/prospects during presentations;

-- Significant travel required;

-- Incisive business acumen;

-- Powerful presentation and relationship-building skills;

-- Strong P&L and operations experience with demonstrated success managing costs and improving bottom-line profitability in low-margin environments... while expanding revenue penetration within exisiting business.
