Galactic Performance Solutions -- a full-service performance improvement company based in Arlington -- is adding a Director, Business Development to the team. The Director will sell Galactic products and services to corporate America, including a wide range of reward, recognition, motivation and engagement solutions. The company also offers high-impact, customized incentive solutions to influence individual and collective behaviors that drive business results for Fortune 500's nationwide.

The Director will also develop leads, working closely with all sales directors, the marketing departments and the VP of Sales and Marketing.


Minimum 3 years' sales experience in solutions-based selling, and/or a four-year degree in business management or marketing, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a strong plus.


These include:

-- Working with the VP of Sales & Marketing to establish sales and expense budgets, and to achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas;

-- Collaborating with the sales team to learn the business inside out, and assisting in the preparation and gathering of information for sales presentations and proposals;

-- Using the company's systems to maintain and track all activity and histories for all active clients and prospects;

-- Working in conjunction with the creative department to create and develop presentations that represent and promote Galactic's image and culture;

-- Coordinating between accounts, marketing services, administration and travel department personnel to supplement and fulfill client programs; also acting as liaison with account personnel in servicing programs and the collection of any outstanding balances;

-- Assuring that proposals are completed on time and meet the requirements for a win-win sales effort;

-- Attending trade shows, sales seminars, industry events, etc. to strengthen knowledge of trends and practices within the industry;

-- Developing and hitting quarterly objectives, forecasts, etc.; and assisting in the development of the annual sales department budget.



In addition to at least 3 years' sales experience in solutions-based selling -- and/or a four-year degree in business management or marketing -- the winning candidate will possess a strong business acumen, good professional presence, and solid organizational and communication skills. Must be able to develop relationships internally as well as with clients and prospects within the highest levels of corporate America.

Must be a self-starter who can set and achieve goals, while working with a positive attitude within a team environment -- with management staff, team members and the general public. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel spread sheets, knowledge of sales management software such as CRM helpful. Sufficient math skills to compute gross margins and gross mark-ups. As mentioned above, bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
