DIRECTOR of NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT -- RECOGNITION AWARDS
LOCATION:
CALIFORNIA HOME-BASED REMOTE OFFICE (or REMOTE OFFICE in a MAJOR MARKET, U.S.)
COMPANY/POSITION:

This senior sales professional will join a fast-growing promotional marketing organization that provides a leading-edge on-line recognition platform and a substantial infrastructure of dedicated, experienced customer support teams. The agency has visionary, dauntless and aggressive management that has forged a growing (and glowing) reputation in the promotional marketing realm as well as the recognition arena. Their platform is one of the most versatile and comprehensive in the industry.

The winning candidate will be located in a home office anywhere in the U.S. (California preferred) and will be an experienced hunter and closer who will leverage existing relationships to create new business by calling on (and closing with) Fortune 1000 prospects. He/she will have a track record of presenting and winning large-scale recognition programs targeting large groups of employees within a wide range of industries nationwide. The organization prefers a proven sales pro who can bring business with him/her in the door -- or, a star recognition account management/operations professional who "gets it" and wants to make the move to sales.

KEY REQUIREMENT:

Minimum 5 years' stellar track record of sales within a recognition awards company -- or strong experience in an account management/penetration role (and seeking to move into hunting/prospecting/relationship development) within a similar organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

These include:

-- Creating new relationships and business by prospecting and calling on Fortune 1000 prospects nationwide;

-- Preparing and delivering presentations/demos and RFP's based on the versatility/applicability of the company's on-line recognition platform;

-- Managing the sales process through the close of sales; working closely with customer support/operations during the presentation process and after programs are sold.

-- Developing long-lasting client relationships and further penetrating client divisions/departments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a minimum of 5 years' documented exceptional track record of sales (through within a recognition, loyalty or incentive agency. Experience selling to wide range of organization across various industries. Solid experience selling on-line platforms. Polished professional, confident presence; strong relationship-development skills.

COMPENSATION:

Strong competitive salary plus aggressive uncapped commission plan.

NOTE:

This is a great mid-sized organization with no-B.S. management that seeks the creme de la creme in bizdev talent -- and will support the sales function thoroughly from pre-sale to post-sale -- and that has a track record of rewarding performance handsomely.
